This is a promo video for a player-created-event that will take place in Entropia Universe. The ability for players to create their own events in the Entropia Universe game is one aspect of the game that I enjoy. This is a good example on what players come out with.

A spontaneous and hilarious video created by Bambuco.

Unfortunatly, you kind of have to know what went down in the game in order to get the jist of what the video is about, however, don't despair! I am here to help ya Wink.

This is a good opportunity to talk about Entopia Universe as a game as well, so I'll kill two birds with one stone.

The main theme of the video is regarding Entropia Universe LandGrab 2009. This wild event is done on a yearly basis and consists of the top 50 societies (clans/guilds/groups/etc) figting for some great prizes. MindArk, or First Planet Calypso, puts out 20 or so Land Areas that can be taken by a society. They have to fight against each other and take over as many as then can. At the end of the time alloted for this event, the societies that won land areas get to keep them for 6 months (I believe it's 6 months). In return, they get to manage the land area and collect taxes on it, which are mostly from loot picked up by Hunters and Miners while on the land. Now mind you, this is REAL CASH we're talking about here.

Anyhow, continue reading on some more and check out the video!

Bambuco's Video - Destiny

Hoooray! Bambuco's video has been selected as the second place finisher of MindArks's Let It Rock Video Competition! Obviously, he and I were hoping to get the Top Prize, however, we are more than happy and grateful to have gotten the second place spot. Actually, Bambuco's video ended with a tie in second place with Mr Chips and his awesome creative video.

We would like to thank MindArk and their judges for selecting Bambuco's video as second place. We are honored that you guys liked the video so much as to have it at the top of the 250 or so videos submitted for the competition. There was some hefty competition out there!

Official MindArk Video Competition Entry
Saturday, 14 February 2009 17:57

We are excited to finally have the final product of our official entry to Mindark's Kevin Rudolph Video Competition 2009!!

We have two versions. Please read below for further information on each one.

Version One

This version contains NO INFORMATION, or text throughout the video. Actually, the only text displayed is the text that shows the various professions available in the Entropia Universe virtual world.

We love this version as well because it gives the viewer a "front row" seat to the action cuts, the editing, and the central core of what Entropia Universe is all about.

Version Two

This version contains examples of text (information) that can be displayed throughout the video. Obviously, we did not know what MindArk and First Planet Calypso were looking for, however, we inserted temporary text to display the possibilities with our fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping, promotional technique.

Some Videos Muted
Saturday, 31 January 2009 19:42

Just want to put up an FYI. Several of our videos have been muted by Google in YouTube.com, however, if you run some searches of our video titles, you should find some copies of the videos around.

We also use other video sites as well, like Gametrailers, Veoh, Vimeo, so check them out.

Anyhow, if some of our videos are muted then that's fine with us. I don't imagine us paying $50,000 USD to get the rights to a song to make a machinima out of it!

If you're interested in seeing one of our videos and can't find it anywhere, shoot us an email and we'll send you a copy. We're more interested in showing the skills of video creation than braking any copyright laws.

Introducing Ourselves

Who are we? We are players. We have been in it since Commodore 64 days.. .back when you could buy a magazine (Compute) that included the source code of the newest games! You would then have to type this Basic source code out, and execute it. You would PRAY that it would work, but obviously, it would never, not with hundreds and hundreds of lines of code. Finally, when you got it working, it was great! You got a new game Tongue out.
